The ACTION Bus Service provides public transport throughout Canberra and is the only form of regularly scheduled public transport in the Gungahlin district. A light rail network connecting the Gungahlin Town Centre to Civic is intended to address peak hour congestion between Gungahlin and the city. The project is underway and will help promote the use of public transport in the area.
