Around May this year we decided to sell our family home of 26 years. This had been our only home in Australia. It was the right time to down-size and move interstate to be closer to family. The hard task of finding the right agent ended the day we met Maria.
Knowing that our garden looked its best in Spring we initially wondered if we should wait until Spring for the sale but Maria was convinced that winter was as good as any season and came up with a timeframe to sell in August. This timeframe actually suited us better and she dispelled whatever reservations we had about selling in winter. There was never a cause for regret.
From day one we felt comfortable with Maria. Her sensitivity to our needs, her respect for clients, personal interest and involvement in every step of the selling process and her practical yet ethical and professional approach appealed to us very much. We relied on her advice and were confident she would get the best possible price for us.
Maria’s team is closely knit and works efficiently in a co-ordinated manner to achieve great results. We were happy to undertake the minor improvements to the house that Maria suggested. These and the styling made a big difference to the way the house was presented for sale. The photos were amazing and the marketing campaign was way beyond our expectations.
We are also very happy that Maria recommended the tender system to us. It was altogether stress free unlike an auction. Maria kept us posted on developments and handled the entire process extremely efficiently. Needless to say, she achieved a record outcome in the end.

I wanted to put in writing the wonderful experience I never expected to occur with the selling of our home. It was a very big decision for us to sell our beautiful home that my husband and I built and designed together in order for a country life change.
We took the whole process very seriously and felt we owed it to our beautiful home to have someone showcase it to its best potential. We interviewed over seven agents and Maria Selleck well and truly stood out above the rest. The starting point was such a simple thing of her coming to meet me at my workplace at a time that was suitable to me.
In preliminary discussions with Maria and talking about the key features of our home - there was not one aspect that I had identified about what the house had to offer that was not written down in her notebook. I could not believe how much detail she had consumed in regard to what the house had to offer and she honestly believed our house was a true home. This was very important to us as we had put so much time and effort into our home over the years that we had someone selling our home that loved it as much as we did.
I am sure everyone believes their house is going to be the best home on the market in their suburb at the time of sale and Maria truly believed in the potential our house had to offer. Many other agents overlooked key aspects that our home had to offer – but not Maria she had every nook in the house and garden covered.
The selling of a home can be very stressful – but this was just not the case when dealing with Maria Selleck properties. Maria walked through our home and suggested minor improvements to be carried out which we as owners and having lived there for so long could not easily site. These simple modifications just brought our property up to date with the modern market. Maria and her wonderful team took charge and managed to sort everything from the building report; to the magical photo shoot; collection of the family cat; right through to the correct coloured cushion being used on the lounge.
During the time of sale both my husband and I had to undergo two major operations – before I had even returned to my room from recovery there was the most wonderful floral arrangement in my hospital room – I just could not believe what a wonderful personal touch Maria had – what other real estate agent would do this I thought to myself and more flowers arrived for my husband as well with his operation. This gesture just meant so much to us - another example of how Maria goes above and beyond the average real estate agent.
Maria thank you for everything you have done for us in the success of selling our home. You reached a goal that we could never have imagined we would reach – not just selling the property but obtaining a buyer only week two into the 4 week tender process and gaining record price for a 4 bedroom house in our suburb!!
I will not be able to recommend you highly enough – although since our sale I have recommended you to my very close friend and again you have excelled with your personal touch and again receiving a record price for the suburb.
